A Rainy Day on a Train in Mumbai
"Yere yere pausa
tula deto paisa
paisa zhala khota
paus ala motah"
This was the song which we were singing yesterday in a train....and that too when the trains were all halted due to heavy rains. We didnt knew each other....but even then we were having a blast. even though we were trapped in train for more than 40 min.....time just flew like a swift.
The rain gods had opened the taps wide open...it was pouring...cant be compared to anything. the onlything visible was water, water and more water......
scene two: the train slowly reaches ghatkopar station....some of us get down and then there are these announcement which said a train to thane has been cancelled...and many more announcements like those......The best part...We were all cheering each and every announcement....as if sachin has hit a six off shoiab.......was fun man......
scene three: Caught a bus to ghatkopar...340 to be precise.... crowded and riding on one of the worst roads of mumbai....the all gr8 andheri-kurla link road (ask anybody i am not joking...its infact the worst road)....pot holes which a normal man would call it a well....rickshaws will get drowned in it....a ride far better than essel world's best ride......again everybody was enjoying it.........
Amchi Mumbai...Truly amchi Mumbai.......in these times of trouble...how all get together and make it a enjoyble moment...instead of just cribbing about the situation...like some ppl do.
i wish this Mumbai culture lives for ever an ever and is not overtaken by some highclass, upcollar culture..........who crib all the time
Adios
Viki
